Why Amanda Calderon Is Running to Serve Colorado in the U.S. Senate

Colorado doesn’t need another career politician. Colorado needs a leader who has been accountable in the real world—leading teams, managing budgets, building governance, solving complex problems, and serving people where policy becomes real life.

That’s who I am.

I’m Amanda Calderon—nurse, executive, nonprofit leader, MBA, and builder. My deepest commitment is to strengthen Colorado’s future health: safer communities, affordable living, reliable energy, economic growth, and a government that respects the people it serves.

The Experience I Bring to the Senate

Healthcare Leadership: Real-World Judgment Under Pressure

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and gained management and administrative experience in healthcare. In healthcare, you don’t get to hide from outcomes. You learn to:

  • triage what matters most

  • manage risk and safety

  • lead teams under pressure

  • coordinate across systems

  • make decisions that affect real families

That’s the kind of disciplined decision-making Colorado needs in Washington.

Nonprofit Executive Director: Workforce + Opportunity That Changes Lives

I served as Executive Director of a nonprofit trade school, helping underprivileged communities and foster youth gain construction trade skills and a path forward. That experience grounded my belief that:

  • skilled trades are essential to affordable housing and infrastructure

  • opportunity must be built, not promised

  • workforce development is one of the fastest ways to restore stability in communities

MBA + Advanced Studies in AI and Cybersecurity: Modern Leadership for Modern Threats

I earned a Master of Business Administration, with advanced studies in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity—because Congress is increasingly making decisions about technology, privacy, critical infrastructure, and national security without understanding the realities on the ground.

Colorado needs leaders who can protect innovation and protect people.

Builder of Governance and Accountability: Not Just Ideas—Execution

I helped start and build a corporation focused on worldwide growth and solutions in:

  • sustainable and nuclear energy innovation

  • sustainable and affordable housing

  • next-generation building strategies and materials

  • hydroponics and food resilience

  • climate research facilities

  • ethical data centers and technology development

  • proposals for local and national security infrastructure integration

I didn’t just talk about it. I did the hard work of building it:

  • completed corporate registrations and compliance steps

  • created internal policies and governance structures

  • managed budgets and financial planning

  • built pathways for job creation, learning, and university partnerships

  • secured State of Colorado OEDIT AITC certification approval (11/18/2025–11/18/2026)

That certification didn’t happen by accident. It required discipline, documentation, credibility, and follow-through.

How This Experience Matches the Job of a U.S. Senator

A U.S. Senator’s job is not a title—it’s a responsibility. My background directly aligns with what senators are expected to do:

1) Represent Colorado’s Real Needs

My experience in healthcare and community service keeps me grounded in what families are living through: affordability, public safety, mental health and addiction, access to care, and economic stability.

2) Write and Negotiate Effective Policy

Running operations and building governance teaches you how rules work in reality—not on paper. I understand how to design policy that can actually be implemented and measured.

3) Hold Agencies Accountable Through Oversight

Oversight is about competence and courage—asking hard questions, demanding evidence, finding waste, and enforcing results. Healthcare and governance work trains you for exactly that.

4) Make Responsible Spending Decisions

If you’ve managed budgets and built organizations, you know how quickly waste grows when nobody is accountable. Colorado needs a senator who will fight for spending that delivers real outcomes.

Why Electing Amanda Calderon Will Create Real Change

Colorado is tired of:

  • politicians who talk but don’t deliver

  • wasteful spending with no results

  • rising costs while families fall behind

  • declining trust in institutions

  • laws that punish working people and reward dysfunction

I’m running to bring something different: execution, accountability, and service.

Electing me means Colorado gets a senator who will:

  • push for affordable living and responsible economic policy

  • support workforce development and skills-based opportunity

  • defend public safety and rule of law

  • address homelessness with serious mental health and addiction solutions

  • protect Colorado’s critical infrastructure with cybersecurity readiness

  • fight for reliable energy strategy and innovation that lowers long-term costs

  • demand audit-level accountability for programs that waste taxpayer money

Service Has Always Been Who I Am

My commitment to community didn’t begin with politics. It began when I was young:

  • volunteering with the Salvation Army in Denver

  • volunteering at local hospitals

  • helping with food drives

  • helping organize low-cost and free healthcare services for communities

This campaign is an extension of that same purpose: to serve people, build what works, and protect what matters.

My Promise to Colorado

I will not represent a political class. I will represent Colorado—all of it: Front Range, Western Slope, Eastern Plains, mountain towns, and rural communities that too often get ignored.

I believe our best days are still ahead—if we stop the waste and restore trust.

Stop the Waste. Restore Trust.
